Put on your Top Nep cap and get ready for Megadimension Neptunia VIIR next spring

Get ready for more Nep Nep next year: today, Idea Factory announced a remake to 2016’s Megadimension Neptunia VII for the PlayStation 4. Entitled Megadimension Neptunia VIIR, the game will feature a revamped battle system as well as some VR features to enhance the JRPG, and will be released during spring 2018.

Gamindustri – a world sitting at the convergence of multiple dimensions. Of these existed the Zero Dimension, a world on the brink of collapse.

Zero Dimension’s last guardian, Uzume Tennouboshi, waged a war against a mysterious evil known as the Dark CPU. Her desperate cries for help crossed dimensions and reached Neptune, the CPU of Planeptune, who would leave her world to join the fight.

Their fateful meeting would open the path to a new adventure.

And once their world is saved, they’ll join you in yours!

While a little bit odd to re-release a game on the same console a year after the original release, Idea Factory has announced that it will render Megadimension Neptunia VIIR with a new engine as well as revamp the battle system. In addition, the game will feature a VR mode compatible with the PSVR, so you can interact with your favorite waifus/goddesses as well as customize a VR room in-game.
