One of the most lamented problems with the Xbox One is the interface in dealing with both friends and parties. There were features that were dropped from the Xbox 360, and it looks like Microsoft is stepping up with the March update to provide us with an easier way to get together.
The video above has Xbox’s Major Nelson (Larry Hryb) interviewing the developers as they walk us through some of the major changes. The friends list looks much improved, but what I’m really looking forward to is the update to the Party app. Being able to set up chat sessions with friends while playing dissimilar is a feature I miss most from the last generation. It looks like this might just fit the bill.
