Over nine million people played the Star Wars Battlefront beta

The recent beta for Star Wars Battlefront had an impressive amount of people playing, clocking in at over nine million users logging in and joining matches.

The news comes way of a blog post by Sigurlina Ingvarsdottir, Senior Producer on Battlefront, who explained that it was the largest beta in EA’s history. “We could not be happier that so many of you wanted to come in to get a small taste of what our passionate team has been working on,” she wrote.

Ingvarsdottir explains that developer DICE knew the beta would be a “huge test” for Battlefront, saying, “the beta has been one of the most talked about topics around the game over the last six months, and it was exciting (and a little nerve racking if I’m being completely honest) to open it up to the world.”
