Minecraft Console Edition gets a new minigame

Console Editions of Minecraft are getting another minigame with the next free update.

Tumble is a game of chicken wherein players are situated on platforms surrounded by lava. The objective is to force other players off the platforms and into the lava. The last player standing is the winner. The new game mode allows the use of multiple tools for falling your enemies, including snowballs (for pushing enemies off platforms) and shovels (for digging under other players’ feet).

The new update also adds three new maps for the previously released Battle Mode minigame, available as a map pack. The Battle Map Pack #3 will cost $2.99 US on the Xbox store, PlayStation store and Wii U eShop.

Minecraft Console Edition is available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, and Wii U. Console versions of the creation platform recently received the Battle Mode minigame, which was heavily inspired by a popular PC mod most commonly known as Hunger Games.
