The Rise of the Tomb Raider Xbox exclusivity situation continues to be confusing, as Microsoft has confirmed it will be publishing the game itself instead of Square-Enix.
News of this comes from Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg, who confirmed to a fan on Twitter that Microsoft was putting the publishing money behind the sequel to last year’s Tomb Raider reboot.
Microsoft publishing the game does make the possibility of the game coming to PlayStation platforms seem all the more unlikely, but also seems to contradict previous reports that the game would be coming to systems other than the Xbox One or Xbox 360.
Just where Rise of the Tomb Raider sits on the line between exclusive and timed exclusive isn’t clear at this point, as all the contradictory information doesn’t seem to point to a definitive answer.
