Microsoft confirms the existence of Project Scorpio, a 4K and VR-ready Xbox One

Microsoft has announced that it will be launching an updated version of the Xbox One in holiday of 2017.

The company referred to it as “Project Scorpio” in an official capacity at the end of its E3 press conference, stating that when it launches it will be the most powerful console on the market.

Head of Xbox Phil Spencer confirmed that all versions of the Xbox One will still be able to run the same games, saying that no current Xbox One owners will be left behind in a generational gap.
