Metal Gear Solid V gets silly with new cardboard box mechanics

Metal Gear Solid is a pretty bipolar game.  One minute you can be talking about a deep conspiracy concerning government plots, and the next you might be getting felt up by the president.  Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain hopes to ramp the ridiculousness factor up another notch by adding more mechanics to the cardboard box.

We already saw a few new mechanics of the box at E3, including popping out, either from the top or side, and using the fulton while never leaving the box.  Now using cleverly placed… decals, Snake can  distract guards, either making enemies hold position and salute with a soldier decal, or making them run towards him with a swimsuit model decal.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is slated to release in early 2015.

Spencer Campbell has summited many mountains just to shout, “Video games are for nerds!!” After extensive scientific testing, he has concluded that they are. He plans on accepting his Nobel Prize as soon as the dorks in Sweden return his calls.
