As the movie Men in Black 3 makes its way to theaters and 3D screens in May, another Men in Black title is making its way to your console of choice. Activision announced that Men in Black: Alien Crisis will be released on May 22, 2012 for PS3, 360, and Wii. To help place players into the role of rookie alien hunter Peter Delacour, the game will include support for platform specific motion peripherals like the Wii Zapper and Move Sharpshooter, as well as the cross-platform Top Shot Elite.
In Men In Black: Alien Crisis, players take on the role as Peter Delacoeur, a MIB Agent in training, assigned to unearth enemy aliens who are planning to destroy planet Earth. With hidden surveillance and stealthy guards on the prowl, players must ambush confidential alien intelligence and stop all alien attacks. Men In Black: Alien Crisis brings exciting, realistic MIB Agent movements as players shoot, and dodge their way through action-packed levels to escape fierce alien assaults. Additionally, all platforms feature two-player split-screen gameplay and four-person “hot-seat” competitive action for awesome friends and family involvement.
All too often, movie-based video games are released that feel unfinished, shallow, and gimmicky. The developers of Men In Black: Alien Crisis teamed up with some of the major forces behind the film franchise defy that stereotype by giving the game some depth and staying true to the MIB universe. Activision also has a record of releasing decent games based on movie franchises, so Alien Crisis should be something fans of the movies find worth picking up at the very least.
