One of the biggest game play additions to the upcoming Ace Combat: Assault Horizon is the new “Close-Range Assault” mode. Remember those scenes in Top Gun where one jet would pull tight on the tail of another and rake it over with machine gun fire while waiting for a missile lock? The developers are hoping CRA mode can replicate exactly that sort of tense, close-quarters dogfighting, with a healthy dose of Burnout-style slow motion pyrotechnics for savoring the more spectacular kills.
