Ironcast steamrolls its way onto the Nintendo Switch this summer

Dreadbit and Ripstone Publishing announced today that steampunk mech combat Ironcast will be launched on the Nintendo Switch this summer. The game is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Set in an alternative Victorian history, Ironcast puts players in control of gigantic mechanized machines who destroy the enemies of the British Empire. As Commanders of the Consortium of Merit, players take control of their own 7 metre tall walking Ironcast to defend 1880’s Victorian England from invading enemy forces.

Players do battle through a match three-like board. Through this, they can use resource nodes, which are how an Ironcast’s weapon and defensive systems operate. With a roguelite style of game flow featuring permadeath, no two campaigns are alike. With the Nintendo Switch version comes the ability to play the game docked or undocked, with an additional scheme that controls exclusively on the Switch’s touchscreen.
