Inside Unreal: Visual Effects dev diary for Unreal Engine 4, part 2

You might recall part 1 of “Inside Unreal: Visual Effects” being pretty spectacular, but today we’ve got part 2 of that series and it’s going to blow your mind. This one sits down again with Epic’s Tim Elek and Zak Parrish to look at the advances VFX the engine is capable of delivering right out of the box including realistic water effects, lit translucency, GPU particle simulation, collision, and much more. The demo is, once again, the Infiltrator demo they used before. Realize that the better part of 80% or more of the games that hit the last generation were running on Unreal Engine 3.
