Harvest Moon Enters the Realm of 3D

It simply wouldn’t be a proper Nintendo console without a Harvest Moon  game on it. Since the SNES and on, there has always been a Harvest Moon  game on a Nintendo system, and the 3DS is no exception. Today, it was announced that Harvest Moon: A New Beginning  is on its way, and three dimensions ain’t the only only thing to look forward to.

Customization is playing a big role in A New Beginning, with the ability to fully customize the look of your character, the look and placement of your farm, and even create new items such as park benches, pet houses, furniture, and more.

“We’re extremely excited to be bringing Harvest Moon: A New Beginning to the North American audience,” said Hiro Maekawa, President and CEO at Natsume. “It’s hard to believe it’s been 15 years since the first Harvest Moon game debuted on the SNES back in 1997! A New Beginning has many new customization features that will please both veterans of the series and new players alike!”

Natsume, the game’s developer and publisher, has not confirmed a solid release date but promises the game will be out this year. The game is expected to be shown at E3 next week.
