Government shutdown promo at GOG

Feeling down because your government isn’t working? Need something to lift up your spirits? The people at Good Old Games are feeling ya. GOG is doing a hilarious promo to criticize the government shutdown. To make you feel in touch with the economy again, Capitalism and Capitalism II, Theme Hospital (lampooning the medical care system), Tropico, The Guild and a couple of other games are included in a 24-hour 50 percent off promo.

And what if you got furloughed yourself? That sucks. But still, what are you going to do with all that time? Play some games of course. The fellas at GOG.com seem to have had the same insights and are offering a special deal to government employees. All you have to do is send an e-mail to [email protected], together with a picture of you holding your official furlough letter. And you get aforementioned games for free.

Now you can show the government that you’re way better at managing public affairs in a game of Tropico or Alpha Centauri.
