Fallout: New Vegas Patched for PC; 360 & PS3 Imminent

Steam users are reporting that a sweeping new patch for Fallout: New Vegas is now live, delivering on a promise made through Bethesda’s official blog just yesterday.

Between now and Thursday, the latest title update for Fallout: New Vegas will deploy across Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. In addition to adding support for New Vegas’ next DLC, Old World Blues, the update will bring improvements to performance and stability, as well as a new feature that automatically creates a save before the endgame sequence.

The full patch notes, which can also be read in their entirety by clicking the Press Release button below, are several pages long and address issues ranging from broad performance enhancements for major areas of the game to tweaking enemy-specific AIs to fix unintentional clumsiness.  These fixes arrive at the perfect time for everyone who picked it up during Steam’s yearly Summer Sale, so here’s hoping it irons out the worst remaining wrinkles in Obsidian’s ambitious RPG.
