EA hears millions of voices cry out in terror, silences by cutting credits needed for heroes in Star Wars Battlefront II

Credits needed for heroes cut by 75% in Star Wars Battlefront II

Star Wars Battlefront II is on a hype train fast approaching its final destination, but it’s not there without controversy. As you play, you’ll earn credits. These credits can be used to by star cards, and even heroes. Two characters, Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader original cost 60,000 credits each, which was an average of 40 hours of gameplay to unlock unless you purchased credits. However, EA has heard these complains and will be lowering their credit prices for heroes by 75%.

Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader will now be available for 15,000 credits while Emperor Palpatine, Chewbacca, and Leia Organa will be available for 10,000 credits. This change will be able today via an update loaded into the game. In EA’s blog post, they mentioned that they are listening to what fans like and don’t like about the game, promising more changes over time.

We’ve also been listening to how much you’re loving features in the game (Starfighter Assault, 40 player MP battles, Darth Maul lightsaber throws, etc.) as well as what you haven’t liked. We know some of our most passionate fans, including those in our subreddit, have voiced their opinions, and we hear you. We’re making the changes to the credit levels for unlocking heroes and we’re going to keep making changes to improve the game experience over time. We welcome the conversation.
