Doom 4 Revealed at QuakeCon
The next installment in the Doom franchise has been revealed exclusively at QuakeCon.
Doom 4, simply titled Doom, will be a reboot of the long-running shooter series. PC Gamer reports that the game’s Executive Producer Marty Stratton claims that the game will “be going back to what made the original great: fast action, run-and-gun, inventive and creative combat.”
The game will run on id Engine 6, include verticality through double jumps and jetpacks, hand-to-hand finishing moves and a massive arsenal of weapons.
No concrete details were given as to when Doom will ultimately hit store shelves, but be sure to check out the teaser trailer above.
