If you’re on any kind of social media, you’ve no doubt seen your friends and family dumping ice water on their heads. This is part of a viral campaign to raise awareness and money for the ALSA.
Basically, it entails that a person pour ice-cold water on themselves on camera or donate to the ALS association for research on the disease, and then challenge their friends to do the same. Since then, Bungie has gotten in on the cause, and released a video of the Peter Dinklage-voiced Ghost character from Destiny taking part in the challenge. The video confirms that 20% of the proceeds from the studio’s online store will be donated to the ALS association until the day Destiny is released on September 9th.
At the end of the video, Bungie challenges Call of Duty’s Jonathan Irons, The Last of Us’ Joel and George Lucas to also partake in the challenge.
Destiny is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 on September 9th, and has recently been confirmed to have gone Gold.
