Demeo dungeon crawls to PC and VR headsets next month

Today, Resolution Games announced that it will release its dungeon crawling game Demeo for VR headsets on May 6, with a PC version to follow afterwards. The game will feature compatibility between both non-VR and VR players, with up to four players banding together in some fast-paced fantasy fun.

Resolution Games today announced that players will be able to gather their friends and enter the unhallowed catacombs of fantasy dungeon crawler, Demeo, on Oculus Quest and Rift, HTC Vive, Valve Index and Windows Mixed Reality beginning May 6, 2021. The studio also released the game’s “Coming Soon” page in the Oculus Quest store today, allowing players to add the game to their wishlists, which will be available for VR headsets for $29.99 USD.

“We knew that RPG fans were going to love Demeo, but we had no idea just how excited they would be until we released its gameplay reveal trailer last month,” said Tommy Palm, CEO of Resolution Games. “It has been so fun hearing from players all over the world about how excited they are to get their hands on the game and experience their beloved tabletop game nights again with their friends after a long year apart. Demeo is going to be unlike anything available in VR today, and we can’t wait for players to take on the dungeons of Demeo on May 6.”

Within the fantasy roguelike game of Demeo, up to four players band together to assume the role of an eagle-eyed hunter, a mystical sorcerer, a deadly assassin or a protective guardian. Strategy is a key component of Demeo, so players need to work together as a team to set the Mad Elven King free… or die trying.

Demeo is the first title from Resolution Games planned for release on traditional gaming PC devices as a non-VR title that will be playable cross-platform between PC and VR gamers. It’s expected to release for PC later this year.
