Bandai Namco Entertainment has officially announced its Dark Souls III expansion Ashes of Ariandel coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 25, 2016.
The DLC will take players to the frozen land of Ariandel, an environment littered with new enemies, weapons, armor sets, and magic. The expansion also includes new features for its competitive online multiplayer mode.
Ashes of Ariandel will cost $14.99 and is free for all Dark Souls III Season Pass holders. A second expansion, which will also be included in the Season Pass, is expected to be released in early 2017.
When Dark Souls III launched earlier this year, we gave it a 90 for “improving on the beloved franchise in almost every way.”
