Captain Falcon, Robin and Lucina Coming to Smash Bros.
Three new characters joined the growing roster of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS today.
Through a reveal trailer (that you can view above) Smash Bros. veteran Captain Falcon of F-Zero fame finally made his return to the series today, alongside two newcomers. The Fire Emblem series now has four representatives as both Fire Emblem: Awakening’s player character Robin and party member Lucina have been revealed as playable in the next Super Smash Bros.
Robin will be playable in either a male or female form, keeping consistent with the player’s ability to choose between genders in Awakening proper.
Also seen in the reveal trailer was Fire Emblem: Awakening’s Chrom, who will be in Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS as an assist trophy, IGN reports.
Super Smash Bros. for 3DS is slated for release on October 3rd. The Wii U version will arrive at some point this Winter. For more on Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS, check out our hands-on preview from this year’s E3.
