Call of Duty viral campaign begins within Black Ops II after latest update

It looks like a marketing campaign for the next Call of Duty game has begun, and it’s within a new update on Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

After a recent update to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Black Ops II added a Snapchat QR code to certain in-game posters, Snapchat users are discovering that the code adds an official Call of Duty profile to their contact list. Once added, the profile will send users a brief video, but just what it means is unclear at this point. You can check out the added QR codes in the video above, courtesy of YouTube user Drift0r.

All of this is likely leading to a proper reveal of the next Call of Duty game, but whether it will be Black Ops III or something else is currently unknown.
