Back from the dead, Rise of the Necromancer Pack hits Diablo III: Reaper of Souls June 27th

Blizzard today has revealed the released date for the long-awaited “The Rise of the Necromancer” pack which marks the return of the beloved Necromancer class from Diablo II. The Necromancer class will retain most of its skills from Diablo II as well as adding in new skills for Diablo III. For those that do not purchase “The Rise of the Necromancer” pack, patch 2.6.0 will still include Challenge Rifts, The Shrouded Moors zone, Temple of the Firstborn zone and the Realms of Fate for free if you own the Reaper of Souls expansion pack.

Comprised of controlled, calculating individuals, the Priests of Rathma have long known the true stakes at the heart of the Eternal Conflict. Known to uneducated outsiders as Necromancers, these masters of blood, bone, and the dark arts are often misunderstood. Driven to protect the Balance at all costs, those dedicated to walking this path see neither good nor evil in their actions; simply obedience to the cycle of being.

The Necromancer class was recently shown off during Blizzard’s beta test. During the beta, more information was given for the new class and what other goodies are included in the 2.6.0 patch.

As a master of the dark arts, you wield the powers of life and death necessary to restore the Balance! Necromancers are powerful spell casters who lay waste to their enemies using curses and reanimation—along with an obedient cadre of pets. This new class employs a controlled gameplay style using the raw materials of life: blood and bone.

“Rise of the Necromancer” will be released in North America on June 27th, 2017 for $14.99 for Diablo III: Reaper of Souls on PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4, for more information on the patch, or information on exact time availability, please check out Blizzard’s website.
