New Super Mario Bros. multiplayer is even more chaotic on the Wii U

No game has ever enticed me to start throwing things at my kids like New Super Mario Bros. Wii multiplayer- promises of teamwork and cooperation gave way quickly to adversarial play and backstabbing. I don’t think we ever got through a single level before the time ran out and our happy game time devolved into nothing short of a screaming match.

Naturally, this chaos is present in the Wii U incarnation of the title, with an additional twist- the holder of the Wii U touchpad can help or hinder with a single stroke of a finger, dropping in platforms onto the playing field. I know which controller I’m going to use…
