Lovecraftian-styled game, “The Sinking City” receives a new mind-blowing cinematic trailer

Recently, the teams at Frogwares and BigBen have revealed a new cinematic trailer for their upcoming horror adventure title, The Sinking City. This trailer gives players a look at the HP Lovecraft inspired-horror elements and the world Frogwares have carefully crafted.

In The Sinking City, players assume the role of Charles Winfield Reed in August of 1932 as the only survivor of a catastrophe aboard the USS Cyclops. As he continues through the city, he continues to be tormented by nightmarish, cycloptic visions. He’s drawn to a small village in Massachusetts called “Oakmont,” where he hopes to confront these horrors.

Once flourishing and industrial, Oakmont was devastated by a vast flood which submerged half the town, and led to cases of mass hysteria. According to local inhabitants, the ocean exerted some sort of evil and perverse influence. Is he to be believed? And yet, Oakmont is now a lost town, partly underwater, enveloped in shadows, where madness mingles with despair. This is the location where Charles Winfield Reed hoped to find answers to his questions.

The Sinking City will be released on March 21st, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. For more information, check out the official website.
