Minecraft for PS4 Fails to Pass Certification

As if it wasn’t already looking next to impossible for Minecraft on Playstation 4 to meet its reported August release window, it’s been confirmed that the PS4 port of the game has failed to pass through certification by Sony.

News of this came from 4J Studios’ Twitter account, where the developer revealed that “issues” were found by Sony that meant the studio still had work to do before bringing the game to the PlayStation 4.

Last week, 4J announced that it had finished work on the PS4 version of Minecraft and had sent it in for final testing with Sony. Earlier this year it was announced that the PlayStation 4, Vita and Xbox One versions of the game would be coming out in August, but that doesn’t appear to be the case any more.
