New Metal Gear game, Metal Gear Survive announced

IGN has revealed from Gamescom 2016, that Konami is set to release a new four-player stealth co-op Metal Gear game, Metal Gear Survive in 2017 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Metal Gear Survive is set right after the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes where members of Militaires Sans Frontières are transported through a wormhole into an alternate universe where they are forced to fight zombies embedded in crystals, and seemingly, a Metal Gear.

Konami Europe’s president, Tomotada Tashiro said that “Metal Gear Survive will offer a fresh take on the series’ famed stealth elements, but within a unique co-op setting that is designed for a truly engrossing multiplayer experience.”

Although there are few details about this upcoming Metal Gear game, it will maintain the use of Metal Gear Solid V’s engine, the FOX engine. It will be interesting to see how Konami will progress the Metal Gear series since Hideo Kojima left Konami.
