A triptych of target termination — hands-on with Hitman’s Beta on PC

This past weekend we finally got our hands on the near-final beta test of Hitman — the reboot of the franchise from IO Interactive and SquareEnix.  I ran the game on my PC at medium settings for one run, and Ultra for the final two, encountering nary a framerate hitch.  All three videos are from pre-game training, recreating famous runs from earlier Hitman titles, with a final test setting the stage for the game proper.

As you can see from the videos, there are a great many ways to solve a particular mission.  Do you poison your target, blow them up with a well-placed explosive, or run in guns blazing and shoot them in the head with your trusty Hardballers?  Whether using distraction or destruction, Hitman is back and looking pretty damned great.  We’ll get our hands on the final version of the game very soon as Hitman comes out on March 11th, 2016 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
