Further setting Soldner X-2 apart from the 2D shooter pack, is the addition of over 20 goal related challenges which must be completed in order to advance in the game

Graphically, Soldner-X 2 is a powerhouse when compared to other 2D shooters. The game supports up to 1080p resolution, with really good lighting and explosion effects. The backgrounds are all highly detailed and varied. You will be fighting in space, through cities, on ice planets, and even under water. The enemies are some of the best and most detailed ever seen in a 2D shooter.

The sound is also pretty good. The game features 30 original tracks all with a fitting hard rock edge to them. There is a storyline in Soldner-X 2 and there are even a couple of simplistic cutscenes, but this is still a 2D shooter and the story is a nice excuse to use your tiny space ship to blow stuff up. At the end of the day a 2D shooter is all about the gameplay and Soldner-X 2 nails that department. The controls are tight and responsive. Your ship has the ability to upgrade and gain new weapons. You can charge up super attacks to deal even more damage. There are giant boss fights that will challenge your skills. The entire 2D space shooter formula is here and upgraded with extremely polished visuals, trophy support, and even a live global leader board. If you are a fan of 2D shooters then you should definitely check out Soldner-X 2: Final Prototype. If you have never played a 2D space shooter before, then Soldner
