Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap comes out in April for consoles, later for PC

DotEmu and Lizardcube announced today that its upcoming game Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap will be available on April 18 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, with a PC version coming at a later date. This remake will also include a graphical overhaul as well as implementation of the classic passcode system.

Boasting beautiful, hand-drawn animations and a re-orchestrated soundtrack, the 1989 classic returns with a unique blend of exploration, action, and adventure. Play as Lizard-Man, Mouse-Man, Piranha-Man, Lion-Man, and Hawk-Man, and use their unique abilities to uncover the land’s deepest secrets. Players can switch from the modern remake version and classic version at any time, as well as utilize the Sega Master passcode system in order to unlock old saves and progression.
