Villain or vigilante? Two new trailers released for Batman: The Enemy Within season finale “Same Stitch”

Today, Telltale Games released two new trailers for the upcoming fifth and final episode for Batman: The Enemy Within. This episode will have two branching paths depending on your choices in the other four: one leading to a villain Joker, or one leading to a vigilante.

As the episode has two different paths depending on your choices throughout the other four episodes, Telltale released two different trailers depending on whether Joker ends up becoming a villain or a vigilante.

Episode five, ‘Same Stitch,’ contains two separate storylines and two possible versions of The Joker, so each of these trailers focuses on a different potential experience. The choices players have made over the course of the season will determine which story — and which version of The Joker — they ultimately see in the finale.

This unpredictable vigilante version of the Joker is unlike any portrayal shown before in the DC villain’s history. The episode’s title, Same Stitch, implies that while it’s the same person, there are two sides to this coin.

In total, Same Stitch contains three and a half hours of content spread across two completely distinct storylines that share, at most, only three overlapping scenes. Each of those storylines includes further conditional variations that reflect players’ earlier choices and make Same Stitch, mathematically, Telltale’s “branchiest” episode ever.
