Vergil Playable in Devil May Cry 4’s Remaster

Capcom has announced that when Devil May Cry 4 is remastered for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as “Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition,” it will include new playable characters, including Vergil, who didn’t make an appearance in the original game.

Capcom revealed on the PlayStation Blog that players will have a chance to use Vergil, Lady, and Trish in combat alongside Dante and Nero from the original game. You can get a look at the new playable characters in the trailer at the top of this post.

Along with new characters, Capcom confirms that there are going to be new costumes that will be compatible with in-game cutscenes, as well as a new mode called “Legendary Dark Knight Mode” that adds to the number of enemies to increase difficulty.

Devil May Cry 4 is coming to PS4 and Xbox One this summer as part of Capcom’s remastering of both it and DmC: Devil May Cry. For more on these re-releases, check out Gaming Trend’s review of DmC: Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition.
