Stranger than fiction: Someone recreated the Final Fantasy X soundtrack using Tidus’ laugh

In a peculiar turn of events, Youtube user Johnny Mac uploaded a remade version of the Final Fantasy X soundtrack featuring protagonist Tidus’ infamous laughing scene from the game. Using a sound effect from the scene, the user was able to dub over the tracks in MIDI form. The video, spanning three and a half hours, features most of the game’s soundtrack, while some songs, according to the user, “had no MIDIs available, and I used other songs. Usually similar in tone…”

Final Fantasy X is available on the PlayStation 2, while it is available on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Steam as part of the Final Fanatsy X/X2 HD Remaster. Gaming Trend had a great time with the remaster, saying that it, “offers a massive amount of content in a fully polished presentation that reminds us of how good RPGs are supposed to play.”
