Steam In-Home Streaming now available

The insanity of Steam In-Home Streaming is now live for all to see as of today. In-Home Streaming allows you to play games on multiple computer screens as long as you are connected to the same internet network. Valve explains a bit more elegantly by stating…

When you log into Steam on two computers on the same network, they automatically connect, allowing you to remotely install, launch, and play games as though you were sitting at the remote PC.

One would include that this means playing high-end PC games on a simple laptop is now possible, which seems a tad mind-boggling to me. According to Valve, audio and video from the high-end PC are sent through your home network and into your presumably lower-tier computer/laptop. Your controller/keyboard inputs are also sent back to your high-end PC. It will be very interesting to see how good of an internet connection is required to make this work seamlessly.
