After the live-action film release of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, Sony Pictures has announced that its third animated film based on the Resident Evil franchise will debut in North America later this month. Resident Evil: Vendetta will be released digitally on June 20 and physically July 18, with a special one-night screening on June 19.
Featuring the voice talents of Kevin Dorman, Matthew Mercer, and Erin Cahill, Resident Evil: Vendetta follows the return of long-time favorites Chris Redfield and Leon Kennedy, as well as the film debut of Rebecca Chambers. These three heroes must investigate their surroundings in order to stop the spread of a deadly virus that threatens to destroy New York City.
Resident Evil: Vendetta will have a special one-night screening on June 19 thanks to Fathom Events. The digital version will be available to purchase a day afterwards, and physical media (including a 2-pack Blu-Ray/DVD combo and 4K package), will be available on June 19.
