Sony has announced that the PlayStation 4 was the best-selling console worldwide in 2014.
In its first full year on the market, the PS4 sales reached 18.5 million units sold. This trajectory makes it the fastest-selling game console in industry history, and

We are looking forward to another momentous year in 2015 and bringing an epic line up of titles to PlayStation fans around the world,” says a Sony representative.
It was recently revealed that the Xbox One managed to outsell the PlayStation 4 in November on the heels of the system’s holiday price cut, but the system’s last reported sales were 10 million shipped units.
