Nintendo Teases Potential Figure Based Platform

Nintendo has revealed plans to launch a Nintendo equivalent to the Skylanders franchise and Disney Infinity.

Kotaku reports that at an investor Q&A Nintendo briefly detailed its plans for NFP, or Nintendo Figure Platform. The platform will take advantage of the Wii U’s Near Field Communication capabilities to use the figures in games.

Nintendo plans to unveil just what the company plans to do during its E3 Digital Event, but at the Q&A concepts for a Mario figure and a wireless adapter that would allow figures to be used by the 3DS were shown.

Nintendo also revealed today that the company has suffered its third consecutive annual loss after this past fiscal year.
