Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom release date moves to January 19, 2018

We couldn’t be more excited about Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom — we declared it the Best RPG at E3 2017!

Sadly, we’ll have to wait a little bit longer to play it, however, as Akihiro Hino, CEO and President of LEVEL-5 Inc has announced that the release date for Ni no Kuni II for PlayStation 4 and PC has been delayed until January 19th, 2018. In the video above, Hino-san explains that they need a bit more time to deliver the sequel we all deserve. He also clarifies that, during an E3 interview he may have inferred that the game will have multiplayer — it will not.

We have decided that more development time is required in order to deliver the full Ni no Kuni II experience to our fans,” said Akihiro Hino, CEO and President of LEVEL-5 Inc. “I deeply apologize to those who have been looking forward to the game’s release. Please rest assured, however, that we will continue to strive to provide a deep and satisfying single player experience that our fans can look forward to enjoying.

Ni no Kuni II remains one of my most anticipated titles, and I’m more than happy to wait until LEVEL-5 is ready to release something they feel they can be proud of.
