New DmC trailer mixes action with…populism?

You might have trouble believing it, but the new trailer for DmC, the upcoming reboot of Capcom’s signature action game, is kind of strange. It starts off on a busy street in the rain, where the revamped Dante is…kind of a jerk. He knocks a girl’s pop from her hands, jumps on people’s cars, all kinds of nasty stuff. But when he goes into a bank and stamps FORECLOSED on a fat banker’s head it all just goes off the rails. Check the trailer out for yourself below, and be sure to keep an eye out for Dante’s signature red coat and white hair.

You’ll be able to get your hands on DmC on January 15, 2013 on the Xbox 360 and PS3, with a PC version to follow shortly thereafter. If you’re interested in trying the game out, you can download the demo on PSN and XBLA.
