Middle-earth: Shadow of War – Story Trailer

E3 is only a few days away, but from the games I know about, Middle-earth: Shadow of War is one of my most anticipated titles. Shadow of Mordor was an absolute pleasure, and the Nemesis system shined brightly as a new feature. The team at Monolith Productions have expanded on it greatly, now asking us to take those captured agents and bind them into an army to try to crush the Dark Lord Sauron. To showcase some of what we’ll encounter, we’ve got a new 4K trailer of Middle-earth: Shadow of War that showcases the storyline, including the return of dual-protagonists Talion and Celebrimbor and their attempt to harness the power of one of the Rings of Power (dubbed the New Ring) to turn the tide against evil.  The official summary is thin, but this video above should fill in some gaps:

Go behind enemy lines to forge your army, conquer Fortresses and dominate Mordor from within. Experience how the award-winning Nemesis System creates unique personal stories with every enemy and follower, and confront the full power of the Dark Lord Sauron and his Ringwraiths in this epic new story of Middle-earth.

In Middle-earth: Shadow of War, nothing will be forgotten.

Set in between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, the open world RPG will be coming to Xbox One, Project Scorpio, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, and Windows 10 PC on October 10, 2017. I, for one, am looking forward to that look of terror in an orcish face as I shout “SUFFER ME NOW!”.
