Aaron Greenberg, the general manager of Xbox marketing, confirmed on Xbox Wire today that Microsoft will not be doing their annual media briefing at Gamesom 2016.
While we will not be hosting a media briefing this year, we’re planning a new and more intimate Xbox FanFest experience for our fans across Europe and worldwide attending gamescom 2016. We will be sharing more details on our gamescom 2016 Xbox FanFest soon.”
While what the Xbox Fanfest experience will be exactly is currently unknown, it has been announced that fans will be able to get their hands on Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, Halo Wars 2, ReCore, Sea of Thieves, We Happy Few, Everspace and Cuphead.
Gamescom 2016 takes place between August 17 through August 21st.
