Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut is released

Speaking of Bioware, the team from Edmonton would like to announce that they have released their free update to the title – the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut.   Fans clamored for more of their decisions and moral fabric to be included into the ending for Mass Effect 3, and Bioware listened.  In a free update (for 360, PS3, and PC in North America today, July 4th for PS3 users in Europe) you’ll get exactly what you asked for.   Here is Casey Hudson to explain briefly what they hope to achieve.

“With the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut we are delivering what so many fans have asked for – more answers, more clarity, and a more definitive resolution to their Mass Effect 3 experience,” said Casey Hudson, Executive Producer of the Mass Effect series. “The team is excited for players to experience this final statement on the conclusion to the Mass Effect trilogy.”

Whether you agree that pressuring a developer to rewrite their ending is kosher or not, it is awesome to see Bioware rise to the challenge and deliver a solid cap to the Mass Effect 3 experience.   Check this press release below for all of the details.
