Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut DLC Set to Appease the Complainers

The drama over Mass Effect 3 ‘s  ending has stirred things up quite a bit in the industry, prompting gamers and industry professionals alike to wax philosophical about a developer’s responsibility in delivering a satisfying sense of closure. Bioware announced today, in hopes of appeasing the disgruntled fans who have been crying on the internet, the “Extended Cut” version of ME3 ‘s  ending will be coming this summer.

The Extended Cut DLC will not change the ending, which Bioware is quick to point out. Rather, the DLC will include extended scenes to provide “additional context and deeper insight” into the game’s controversial finale.

The DLC will be free across all platforms this summer.  Read Bioware’s mini FAQ for more details
