Layoffs at PopCap

Sad news at PopCap today as they announce the layoffs of ~50 people at their Seattle office.

Electronic Arts-owned game developer PopCap has seen a round of layoffs that may include a considerable number of employees and the shuttering of one of its international studios.

PopCap is also evaluating their overseas offices in Dublin and Shanghai. Thanks to Gamasutra for the heads up, and best of luck to those developers affected by the layoff.
