IGN has acquired Humble Bundle, the charity-focused digital storefront

Humble Bundle is now part of the IGN family

Humble bundle announced on their blog today that the popular indie-bundle-for-charity website will be joining the IGN family.

We chose IGN because they really understand our vision, share our passion for games, and believe in our mission to promote awesome digital content while helping charity. I can’t think of a better partner than IGN to help Humble Bundle continue our quest.

We will be working harder than ever to bring you the best gaming bundles, book bundles, and store sales, while nurturing the Humble Monthly and our new publishing initiative. We will keep our own office, culture, and amazing team with IGN helping us further our plans. We will raise even more money for charity.

Over the seven years Humble Bundle has operated, they have raised $106 million for charity. We aren’t yet sure on how this will impact Humble Bundle in the long run, but we’re hoping that it’ll lead to the opportunity for an even wider variety of games in their library.

Humble Bundle’s current bundle is the Humble Endless RPG Lands Bundle, featuring all three of the Borderlands games as well as The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut, Wurm Unlimited, Endless Legend – Classic Edition, and Guild of Dungeoneering. This bundle is to benefit the National Videogame Museum.

Sean Anthony likes to combine two of his passions: gaming and writing. Gaming has been a huge part of his life ever since he played his first game as a child, Kirby's Adventure. He aspires to have his name attached to an article that makes the whole world go, "Huh, that's neat, I guess."
