Hoverbike racing RPG, Desert Child, coming to PC and consoles later this year

After a successful Kickstarter campaign, Akupara Games announced that they will be publishing Oscar Brittain’s unique hoverbike racing RPG title, Desert Child, on PC and consoles later this year.

In Desert Child, the Earth is at risk of blowing up and the player must race on vintage hoverbikes to earn enough money to escape to the Red Planet before the home we know and love blows up. Players can also sell gun parts for money, repair and customize their bikes, and eat ramen to fuel up.

In addition its fast-paced racing mechanics, players can hunt bounties, deliver contraband, and throw races all in the name of cold-hard-cash.  The pixel-art solar system in the game is inspire by Cowboy Bebop, Akira, and Redline. In addition, players can customize their bike with guns, amplifers, and tasteless bumper stickers.

Desert Child will  at The Mix during GDC on Monday, March 19th, 2018 from 7:30PM to 11:00PM. This game is targeted be available late in 2018 on PC via Steam and Game Jolt, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. For more information, visit the official website.
