Halo 5: Guardians Beta Will Launch at the End of December

At Microsoft’s Gamescom press conference today, 343 Industries revealed new details about the Halo 5: Guardians beta.

Probably the most important thing you’ll want to know is that the beta for Halo 5 will begin on December 29th and end on January 18th of next year. The beta will focus on four-on-four competitive multiplayer where each member of both teams will start with the same load outs. Beta players will be able to play three modes on seven maps with eleven weapons at their disposal.

The beta will run at 60 frames per second and will help 343 greatly due to how far out the beta will be from the game’s ultimate release.

“Having a beta this early this early in development is crucial because it gives us as developers the opportunity to react to the feedback we get from fans and take it into account as we complete the multiplayer experience for Halo 5: Guardians,” says executive producer Josh Holmes.
