Get a little Risky with Shantae: Half-Genie Hero DLC tomorrow

Last week, WayForward announced that it will release its first major expansion to its acclaimed Shantae: Half-Genie Hero on August 29. Entitled Pirate Queen’s Quest, the expansion will revolve around the mischievous pirate, Risky Boots, and feature an all-new perspective and gameplay. The game and DLC (which retail at $19.99 and $9.99, respectively) are available now on Nintendo Switch, Wii U, PlayStation 4, Vita, Xbox One, and PC.

Raise anchor and prepare your body for a total re-imagining of the base game’s play style, theme, and storyline. You’ve played the genie-half, now experience the other side of the story!

As the villainous pirate Risky Boots, your quest is to travel the world in search of the components needed to conquer Sequin Land and defeat the Half-Genie brat!

The game promises a return to Risky Boots’ playstyle, which was introduced in Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse, and will include new puzzles, enemies, and endings in HD.
