Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood receives its 4.5 patch, delivers the first part of the conclusion to the expansion

Today marks the beginning of the end for the Stormblood expansion in Final Fantasy XIV with the 4.5 patch starting the final chapter of the ambitious storyline. This patch will also include a new 24-man raid, new trial, new instanced dungeon, and more.

In the first Requiem for a Hero update, the first half of the climax of the Stormblood expansion will be released, as well as the Return to Ivalice 24-man raid, a new trial in the last chapter of the Four Lords’ quest line, the Ghimlyt Dark instanced dungeon, Crafter and Gatherer focused quest lines, and new minions. The week following the this update will see the release of the Blue Mage limited job.

The highly anticipated Blue Mage job will debut a week following the release of Patch 4.5 on January 15. As the first “Limited Job” in FINAL FANTASY XIV Online, the Blue Mage will provide a unique solo gameplay experience, learning all of its abilities through fighting monsters. The Blue Mage will be available to all players that have a level 50 Disciple of War or Magic class/job and who have completed the main scenario for A Realm Reborn®.
