Fighting fantasy – Prince Noctis joins the Tekken 7 cast as a guest DLC fighter

In a surprising turn of events, Bandai Namco announced that the second DLC fighter for its recently released fighter Tekken 7 would be none other than Final Fantasy XV’s main character Noctis Lucis Caelum. The princely protagonist will join the cast next spring after the release of King of Fighters’ Geese Howard. This brings the guest fighter count of Tekken 7 to three, with the two DLC fighters fighting alongside Street Fighter character Akuma, who debuted on the initial console roster.

The reveal trailer included above has Prince Noctis receiving a phone call from a mysterious figure as he plows his way through some of the brawnier members of the cast. Using a mix of closeup weaponry and other skills ripped from his Final Fantasy XV moveset, Noctis will be a force to be reckoned with next year. Oddly enough, this will be his second appearance in a fighting game next year, as he was confirmed to be a playable fighter in the upcoming Dissdia Final Fantasy NT.
