Fight Together or Die Alone in Army of TWO: The Devil’s Cartel

The latest installment in the Army of TWO series comes out early next year, and this time Alpha and Bravo find themselves on the streets of Mexico, battling it out against a violent and bloodthirsty drug lord. Featuring the brutal co-operative gameplay and over-the-top violence that the franchise is known for, The Devil’s Cartel aims to take the series to new heights of intensity by introducing a more serious and mature narrative tone.

With Army of TWO: The Devil’s Cartel we wanted to take the series in a new direction while also leveraging the aspects that made the first two Army of TWO games unique. We knew coming out of the gate that meaningful co-op gameplay, customization, and over-the-top action would be key pillars for us, and we’re bringing these elements to the next level by presenting them in a setting that is more serious in order to dial up the intensity.

With the aforementioned increase of intensity in mind, Visceral Games has announced the Army of TWO: The Devil’s Cartel – Overkill Edition, available exclusively to players who pre-order the game. Overkill Edition includes a couple extra guns and tactical gear to add to  the game’s already considerable arsenal, in-game Day of The Dead themed costumes designed by popular tattoo artists, and early access to three exclusive “Overkill” missions where players are challenged to unleash maximum carnage.

Army of TWO: The Devil’s Cartel will be released on March 26th, 2013, for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
